The Role



In this 12 month role, you'll gain invaluable experience working with senior leaders and key stakeholders. You'll enhance your skills in financial governance, project accounting, and regulatory compliance. This position offers a unique opportunity to lead process improvements and contribute to the strategic direction of our financial reporting. As the External Reporting Lead, you will be accountable for:

  • Delivering accurate and timely financial information to the UniSuper Board and various committees.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory reporting obligations.
  • Driving processes that support a reliable general ledger and robust month-end/year-end processes.
  • Reviewing project costings and ensuring correct accounting treatment.
  • Preparing and presenting Board and Committee reporting packs and papers.
  • Managing relationships with external bodies such as auditors and actuaries.
  • Leading process improvements and supporting team development.


About You

  • Have a CA or CPA qualification.
  • Demonstrate extensive experience in finance, ideally with a background in a big 4 professional services firm.
  • Have strong knowledge of accounting standards, superannuation, and investment accounting.
  • Possess analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to see the big picture.
  • Exhibit excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
