Network Security Engineer – Cloud-Focused Transformation - Melbourne
Salary of $160,000 + super - FTE
We’re working with a forward-thinking organisation in the midst of a major technology transformation — leaving behind legacy systems and embracing a cloud-first future. As part of this journey, they’re looking for a Network Security Engineer who can do more than just maintain the status quo
.
This role is for someone who can get deep into the weeds — configuring firewalls, interpreting packet traces, tuning SIEM alerts — while also stepping back to assess broader risks, shape policy, and suggest smarter ways to secure modern infrastructure. You’ll need a strong networking background, hands-on technical skills, and the ability to think strategically about cloud security in a changing environmen
t.
The environment is multi-site, hybrid (AWS/Azure), and complex, supporting everything from data centres to OT/ICS systems and remote access solutions. The organisation is scaling, security operations are being brought in-house, and this role will play a key part in defining future sta
te.
It's a role where no two days are the same — and where your ability to both do and think will have real imp
act.
