As theEngineering Change Program Lead at Austal Ships, you will manage an established annual engineering program, delivering essential engineering solutions to the Australian Border Force. You will operate within a regulatory framework to ensure the delivery of safe and cost-effective engineering products. Your role will be pivotal in facilitating the timely and budget-conscious completion of the engineering program.
What’s Involved
- Maintain the certification of the Cape Class vessels.
- Manage the provision of engineering change deliverables, ensuring they meet all required standards.
- Control changes to the configuration baselines to maintain consistency and integrity.
- Support the ABF Lead Engineer in meeting all relevant contractual requirements.
- Ensure the technical integrity of the platform is upheld at all times.
- Coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure seamless implementation of engineering changes.
- Monitor and report on the progress of engineering change projects.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with engineering changes.
- Provide technical guidance and support to the engineering team.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards.
Essential
- Bachelor of Engineering, Mechanical or equivalent
- Capable of achieving Level 3 Authorised Engineering Authority delegation under the Austal Delegation Framework (or equivalent)
- Masters of Engineering Management or equivalent
