Your New Role

The Head of Business Risk & Compliance – Member Growth is responsible for overseeing Line 1 risk across all Member Growth teams. This role ensures that all key processes and activities are conducted within the requirements of legislation, regulation, business rules, and policy. The role promotes a proactive risk culture and drives accountability for risk identification, mitigation, and issue rectification. Some of your key responsibilities will be:

• Lead the embedment of a 3 Lines of Accountability risk and compliance management model in line with Aware Super Risk Management Framework
• Facilitate and enable a culture of risk and compliance awareness and accountability across the business unit
• Oversee and support business unit stakeholders with cyclical risk management activities, including quarterly risk and KRI assessments
• Coordinate the management of Compliance Plans for Aware Investment Fund products
• Provide or arrange training and coaching to support growth in knowledge within the team
• Support and drive incident management, root cause analysis, and remediation plan development
• Oversee the monitoring of changes in the regulatory compliance landscape and ensure effective consultation within the business on legislative and regulatory trends

To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and experience:

• Senior Leadership experience in Risk and Compliance within the Financial Services Industry
• Extensive knowledge of the compliance landscape, regulation, and emerging issues in the financial services industry
• Experience in providing risk and compliance support for the delivery of digital financial services products and financial advice tools
• Strongly risk-aware with a robust understanding of risk appetite, risk identification, and mitigation strategies
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to unite teams around a shared purpose and vision
  
• You are balanced in accepting risk in any decision you face. You are curious to understand risk context and choose to speak up as we simplify, learn and grow.
