Your New Role
The Head of Business Risk & Compliance – Member Growth is responsible for overseeing Line 1 risk across all Member Growth teams. This role ensures that all key processes and activities are conducted within the requirements of legislation, regulation, business rules, and policy. The role promotes a proactive risk culture and drives accountability for risk identification, mitigation, and issue rectification. Some of your key responsibilities will be:
- Lead the embedment of a 3 Lines of Accountability risk and compliance management model in line with Aware Super Risk Management Framework
- Facilitate and enable a culture of risk and compliance awareness and accountability across the business unit
- Oversee and support business unit stakeholders with cyclical risk management activities, including quarterly risk and KRI assessments
- Coordinate the management of Compliance Plans for Aware Investment Fund products
- Provide or arrange training and coaching to support growth in knowledge within the team
- Support and drive incident management, root cause analysis, and remediation plan development
- Oversee the monitoring of changes in the regulatory compliance landscape and ensure effective consultation within the business on legislative and regulatory trends

- Senior Leadership experience in Risk and Compliance within the Financial Services Industry
- Extensive knowledge of the compliance landscape, regulation, and emerging issues in the financial services industry
- Experience in providing risk and compliance support for the delivery of digital financial services products and financial advice tools
- Strongly risk-aware with a robust understanding of risk appetite, risk identification, and mitigation strategies
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to unite teams around a shared purpose and vision
- You are balanced in accepting risk in any decision you face. You are curious to understand risk context and choose to speak up as we simplify, learn and grow.
