What you’ll do
The Design Lead is accountable for delivery of all design deliverables across the solution design, technical design and detailed design phases for a large transformational IT program initiative. The Design Lead acts as a trusted advisor to the program leadership and are responsible for delivery of the future state design and the design delivery schedule, including management and resolution of all design risks, issues and dependencies.
Key responsibilities
- Responsible for the project, financial and contractual management of all design teams and their associated deliverables.
- Responsible for developing and maintaining the design schedule, including escalation of any risks, issues and dependencies requiring resolution or contract negotiations.
- Responsible for developing costings associated with system design and development for business cases as required.
- Key advisor to senior program leadership (client and Accenture) on design and delivery strategies and approaches.
- Defines and enforces design principles, architecture standards and quality guidelines to drive consistency and functional excellence across teams.
- Identifies cross-team dependencies, leads design discussions and ensures seamless integration of independently developed components through appropriate architectural documentation.
- Ensures business outcomes are clearly articulated and captured within design documentation.
- Responsible for ensuring quality of all business requirements has been assessed prior to acceptance.
- Responsible for ensuring appropriate governance and traceability of all requirements to design deliverables.
- Responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with the client Product and Technical stakeholders.
Here’s what you need
- 10+ years’ experience in portfolio, program, project and/or product management for large transformational IT projects within private or public sector
- Strong leadership in a consulting setting with strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
- Experience in strategic technology analysis and planning, particularly in complex technology ecosystems
- Experience in leading teams of technical architects, solution architects, solution designers and business analysts
- Strong ability to provide executive briefings and influencing conversations relating to Business and IT strategy and delivery
- Experience in delivery and work planning using JIRA
