Role Description
- Configure (as needed), deploy, monitor and maintain networking equipment
- Work with other teams to develop and implement security protocols and systems and ensure compliance to policies, technology standards and best practices. This includes, but is not limited to:
- meeting PSPF, Information Security Manual and Essential 8 Maturity Level 2 requirements
- Working with Security Operations team to fine-tune SIEM solution (Microsoft Sentinel) to support data analysis and identification of patterns and anomalies
- Report Security Incidents and assist with security investigations
- Mentor and develop talent within the teams, engaging in knowledge transfer activities as required to enhance network and cyber management capabilities
- Stay abreast of industry technology developments
- Provide senior technical support to Project Services teams
- Produce and/or review technical ICT architectural documents and detailed designs, relating to network incorporating security measures, data protections and other requirements
- Maintain currency of standard operating procedures, monitoring and reporting systems and other ICT operational tools.
- Provide input and guidance to management decision-making relating to technology selection, ICT strategy, industry best practices and complex ICT changes
Desirable Skills:
- Configuring and managing switches, routers, firewalls and other networking equipment and applications
- Implementing cyber security measures in a complex corporate environment or government agency
- Very strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience with the of the following technologies: Fortinet, Zscaler, Sentinel
- Other Microsoft security technologies (please specify)
- Other security and networking technologies (please specify)
- Experience with scripting and automation such as BASH,KQL, Python, PowerShell (please specify applications and tools), DevOp IOC
- Strong ability to troubleshoot issues
- At least 6 months' experience in the use of ServiceNow for IT Service Management
