We are currently seeking a Dealership Accountant to join our very busy and highly varied Accounts department based in Southport. This role would suit a qualified accountant ready to take the next step in their career. Due to the nature of this busy role, a positive attitude with a hands-on approach is required.

What We Are Looking For

• An experienced Accountant with proven skills of 2 years in a similar capacity
• Either CPA/CA, Accounting Degree (highly desirable) or studying towards an accounting degree
• Automotive Dealership background not essential, but desirable
• An ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment
• Strong communication skills both within a department and with stakeholders in the broader business
• Strong attention to detail and high analytical skills
• Advanced Excel skills
  
  

What The Role Briefly Entails

• Preparation of the monthly management accounts in an accurate and timely manner, and in accordance to accounting standards
• Extensive Balance Sheet reconciliations
• Reporting & Analysis of P&L statements
• Assist in the statutory tax reporting namely, GST, LCT, FBT and PAYG
• Cash flow management
• Internal controls
• Assist in external audit preparation/requirements
• Manufacturer reporting
• Annual budgeting and forecasting
• Senior leader to accounts department
• Work on projects where necessary as directed by the Financial Controller
• Effective communication with Managers and employees alike from various departments
