Retail Marketing Coordinator AU NZ
Role Purpose
Reporting to the Marketing Manager, this role is responsible for implementing regional retail marketing plans and activities across AUNZ for both Triumph & sloggi brands. You will be responsible for the delivery of effective retail marketing activities to increase footfall, in store engagement and sell thru. Ensuring these plans adhere to global brand and retail guidelines and are aligned to the omni-channel approach.
You will work closely with the local and regional VM team on seasonal product stories and campaigns to ensure POS materials (inc Windows) are delivered on time and installed correctly.
You will liaise with local retail division (regional head of retail and district managers) to ensure seamless communication and delivery of all marketing plans, promotions and materials. Working together to develop KPIs and report on ROI and effectiveness of in store campaigns.
You will assist in the development and delivery of the My Triumph program, delivering plans and concepts to continue to both grow and engage our most loyal consumer base. You will also work cross functionally with retail, VM and logistics departments to support new store openings, set up and launch planning.
You will develop close working relationships, both internally and externally, particularly within the retail function (at local, regional and country level). You will build strong external stakeholder relationships with agencies and suppliers. You will foster a collaborative, cross functional, positive and inspiring team culture that promotes innovative thinking, entrepreneurial spirit, a can do, positive attitude, combined with the company’s shared corporate values of honesty and trust.
Organization and key relationships
The Retail Marketing Coordinator reports to the Head of Marketing Triumph.
The position is based in Brisbane.
Apart from direct manager, the Retail Marketing Coordinator works closely with several functions and people across and outside the organization.
Areas of responsibility
- Maintain strong internal relationships with retail sales & VM teams to ensure marketing plans are supported internally, commercial, relevant and aligned to local & regional retail marketing objectives
- Working together with retail sales & VM teams to launch new seasonal product stories, concepts & campaigns (inc. development of tools, any local artwork edit inc. translations, delivery of POS materials, windows and additional POS)
- Maintenance, communication and delivery of the regional retail marketing calendar
- Supporting the retail team in launching new stores
- Together with VM, keeping tabs on local stock levels, particularly during campaign periods and developing plans to pivot and change direction should this be needed
- Communicating the PR/media approach to retail team (district managers and in store teams) – such as new launches, campaigns or calendar moments to ensure brand marketing investments are aligned and leveraged in within retail
- Building a simple, streamlined approach in smaller town and city stores to ensure they’re serviced with activity and aligned to the overall regional/ retail approach.
- Maintain in store CRM/loyal consumer engagement program, developing plans that leverage the MyTriumph program to maximise sign ups, treat, identify, communicate with and engage with loyal consumers
- Reporting on and learning from results, calculating and communicating ROI – working closely with retail sales
- Budget management of regional retail marketing investment, including management of vendor information/new vendor creation if needed. Processing and recording invoices in a timely and accurate way.
Measures of success
- The Retail Coordinator will be measured on his/her ability to:
- Develop and implement POSM material that drives foot traffic to the store, is done in a timely manner and reflects the Triumph/Sloggi brand.
- Develop strong relationships with wholesale partners and suppliers.
- Managing a budget allocation for retail activities.
Requirements
- 4-5 years retail/VM, wholesale or trade marketing gained in similar industry
- Comprehensive knowledge of/experience working with key accounts
- Project management to tight deadlines
- Bachelors/Masters degree qualified in marketing, communications or similar
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- The ability to work on multiple projects at one time, prioritising workload seamlessly
- Adaptable – showing the ability to pivot with changing priorities and objectives
- Shows a keen attention to detail and accuracy
- Knowledge of the local market/high street retail trends and competitor activity
- Adept with numbers – budget management, calculating ROI etc
- Self-starter – highly motivated in a WFH working environment
- Ability to build strong, meaningful internal & external relationships
- A team player
- Valid work authorisation in Australia is mandatory.
