Job Title: Senior Payroll Officer – Temporary Contract
Location: Adelaide CBD

We’re on the lookout for an experienced Senior Payroll Officer to step into a vital temporary role supporting a large-scale back-pay project for nursing staff under a new Enterprise Agreement.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a values-led aged care organisation and put your high-volume payroll expertise to work—processing payroll for over 1,000 employees and ensuring staff are paid correctly and compliantly.
About The Role
Working within a close-knit payroll team, you’ll help manage all aspects of payroll processing from start to finish, with a particular focus on accurate back-pay calculations. You’ll also provide essential cover during a team member’s absence.

About The Role
Working within a close-knit payroll team, you’ll help manage all aspects of payroll processing from start to finish, with a particular focus on accurate back-pay calculations. You’ll also provide essential cover during a team member’s absence.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-end payroll processing for 1,000+ employees.
- Calculating and processing back pay in line with newly negotiated EB agreements.
- Applying awards and EBAs correctly—especially in aged care and healthcare contexts.
- Responding to payroll queries from staff and management.
- Maintaining clean data and ensuring accurate system entries (experience with SIM software desirable).
- Extensive payroll experience in high-volume environments.
- Strong working knowledge of industrial awards and EBAs (Aged Care Award experience essential).
- Confidence working with payroll systems (SIM experience an advantage).
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work to deadlines with accuracy and discretion.
- A team player attitude and proactive mindset.
- 3-month contract (with possibility for extension).
