Track Maintainer – Vegetation Dubbo - UGL Regional Linx

  • 8 days on, 6 days off in fortnightly cycle – all shifts start and finish in Dubbo
  • Industry leading hourly rates, base hourly rates starting at $33.48 and up to $42.97 (pending qualifications and experience) plus opportunities for overtime that incur additional penalty rates

UGL Regional Linx operate and maintain the NSW Country Regional Network (CRN).

UGL Regional Linx are currently looking for Track Maintainer based in Dubbo, NSW with the Vegetation team who play an important part with the overall vegetation maintenance program across the CRN. This role will be working on 8 days on, 6 days off in fortnight pattern.

Your role as a Track Maintainer

Track Maintainer - Vegetation workers assure the on-going safety of the track and carry out activities that effectively manage vegetation across the network. The primary role of a right of way employee is to ensure the safety and integrity of the network by managing vegetation growth. This is achieved through the completion of herbicide application, slashing, brush cutting and tree removal/trimming.

About You
  • Truck Driver – HR unrestricted mandatory
  • UGLRL Protection officer qualifications - desirable
  • Certificate III arboriculture - desirable
  • Chemical application qualifications – desirable
  • Hold a current RIW card
  • White card
  • Strong communication and time management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently to organise and prioritise demands, handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously, set and meet deadlines and follow-through within a fast-paced operational environment with multiple and competing demands
  • Ability and willingness to adapt, quickly learn and utilise new skills and knowledge brought about by rapidly changing structure, process, information and/or technology
