About The Role

We are recruiting for a Production Chemist to join our client in Brisbane, Queensland on a contract basis. As a Production Chemist, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of the company's oil and gas production processes. This is a critical role in supporting the ongoing success and growth of the business.

What You'll Be Doing

• Conducting regular testing and analysis of raw materials, intermediate products, and final products to ensure they meet required specifications
• Identifying and troubleshooting any issues with the production process and implementing corrective actions
• Developing and optimising production methods and procedures to improve efficiency and product quality
• Maintaining detailed records and documentation of all testing, analysis, and process improvements
• Collaborating with the production team to provide technical guidance and support
• Ensuring all operations comply with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations
  
  

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline
• Minimum 3 years' experience as a Production Chemist or similar role in the oil and gas industry
• Proven ability to analyse complex data and interpret results to drive process improvements
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical information clearly
• Knowledge of relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations
