SUMMARY: Leads and directs EVS team members in accordance with overall housekeeping duties and responsibilities at the Casino and other associated properties.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties: (Specific areas of responsibility including, but not limited to)

  • Assists EVS Manager with supervision and direction of EVS staff.
  • Maintains communication and cooperation with all departments.
  • Assists with the preparation and delivery of performance appraisals, counseling notices, and corrective actions, ensuring proper documentation.
  • Assists with interviews and makes recommendations for hiring.
  • Responsible for overseeing the cleanliness of the Casino including but not limited to: floor, walls, ceilings and equipment.
  • Assists with planning and coordination of work activities of cleaning staff.
  • Conducts daily inspections of the Casino to ensure the cleanliness of all areas.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of policies and procedures for housekeeping staff.
  • Maintain Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and ensure departmental compliance.
  • Must be able to identify and correct unsafe practices and conditions.
  • Provides courteous service and is cordial to Team Members and Guests.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Mandatory Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
  • Prefer one (1) year of custodial experience, or any equivalent combination of experience and/or education, from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
  • Knowledge of cleaning equipment, products, techniques, and standards preferred.
  • Must be able to read English to ensure that all chemical handling is conducted in compliance with OSHA and MSDS standards.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • May be required to possess and maintain a California Driver’s license and a Black Oak Casino driver’s permit.
  • Must possess skill in using cleaning products and equipment.
  • Must possess working knowledge of MS Office and other computer-based applications.
  • Must be able to communicate using 2-way radios and/or cell phones.
  • Must be able to pass a mandatory drug test.
  • Must be able to obtain a valid gaming license.
  • Must provide evidence of employment eligibility in the U.S.
  • Must be able to communicate proficiently in English.
  • Must possess excellent communication and writing skills.

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and occasionally more with assistance.
  • Must be physically able to perform all job requirements.
  • Required to work at heights such as on scaffolding, ladders, or platforms.
  • Required to wear protective equipment due to possible exposure to chemicals or Blood Borne Pathogens.

Work Environment

  • Must be able to work in a non-smoke free environment.
  • Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions.
  • Must be able to work in a noisy environment.
  • Potential exposure to infectious diseases.
  • Must be able to work all shifts, weekends, holidays, and special events.
