About the role

CareSouth is seeking an experienced and compassionate Team Leader to join our team in Orange. You will coordinate the requirements of the team on a day-to-day basis, whilst ensuring the provision of services and support to staff and young people are in line with CareSouth's Practice Framework. We are seeking a positive and engaging leader who can demonstrate previous success in dealing with a home care-based model within a Therapeutic Framework Model of care.

About you

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Demonstrate a commitment to the safety of children, young people and people with a disability.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Social Work/Welfare, Social Sciences, Disability or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience in a leadership capacity within the OOHC.
  • Disability Services or Community Services sector.
  • Proven flexibility, adaptability and able to respond and adjust easily to change in work demands.
  • High level written and verbal communication skills.
  • Understanding of the ongoing effects of injuries, trauma and/or neglect and abuse.
  • Proven effective interpersonal, conflict negotiation and resolution skills and to provide strong leadership under pressure.
  • Able to provide evidence (either on commencement or at mandated intervals) a certificate of completion of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) online Worker Orientation module “Quality, Safety and You hold a current First Aid Certificate including CPR
  • Current NSW driver’s licence (note that preferred applicants for the role will be requested to provide evidence of their driving history.
  • Willing to undergo a National Police Check and obtain a (NSW) Working with Children Check Clearance and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
