The Role:

An exciting opportunity has become available for a proactive and detail-oriented Legal Secretary to join our dynamic Perth Property Team, working closely with three Partners and a team of 10+ lawyers and a conveyancing team. This role offers a chance to be part of a fast-paced, collaborative environment where your organisational skills and legal support expertise will be highly valued.

Responsibilities include:
  • Liaising with clients and team members to keep communication clear and resolve queries efficiently.
  • Drafting, reviewing, and formatting legal documents and correspondence with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Managing billing tasks, including invoicing, tracking billable hours, processing payments, and handling queries.
  • Opening, maintaining, and closing electronic files, ensuring everything is organised and up to date.
  • Providing admin support, including diary and email management, scheduling meetings, and arranging travel.
  • Preparing conveyancing documents, attending property settlements and managing and assisting with management of online platforms such as PEXA, Office of State Revenue and Landgate.
  • Handling confidential information with care and professionalism.

What We Are Looking For:

To be successful in this role you will have:
  • Experience in property platforms including PEXA, Office of State Revenue and Landgate.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • A positive attitude and the ability to juggle tasks for multiple fee earners.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office, especially Word and PowerPoint, with working knowledge of Excel and a typing speed of 60+ wpm.
  • Experience with document management and billing systems like FileSite and Aderant Expert, or similar.
  • Strong organisational and file management skills.
  • A team player who works well with others.
  • Proactive and able to work independently when needed.
