Your Role
As the Manager, Property Assessing, you will be at the forefront of delivering seamless property assessing solutions, ensuring repair journeys meet targeted timeframes, cost efficiencies, and quality benchmarks. You'll lead the coordination of assessing capabilities, ensuring optimal outcomes for customers and partners—whether in day-to-day operations or responding to major events.to deliver exceptional business outcomes
Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Excellence – Lead repair scope development, manage escalations, and drive efficient service delivery from assessors and repair partners.
  • Operational Performance – Strategically plan resources over a 12-month horizon, executing efficiency initiatives that enhance service outcomes.
  • Governance & Risk Management – Ensure compliance with policies and industry regulations while mitigating risks in claims handling.
  • People Leadership – Coach, mentor, and develop assessing staff, fostering a high-performance culture that prioritizes safety, engagement, and wellbeing.
  • Financial Oversight – Manage budgets, ensuring property-assessed indemnity costs align with financial targets.

This is a permanent role open to candidates based in Australia.
About You This position is ideal for a motivated leader with strong expertise in the building or construction industry who is passionate about delivering results, optimizing processes, and building strategic relationships. You’ll thrive if you have:
  • A Trade Certificate or Qualification in the Building or Construction industry
  • A Certificate IV in Financial Services or 5+ years of leadership experience in assessing and relationship management
  • Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills
  • Proven ability to manage complexity and drive change
  • A leadership approach that aligns with company values and business objectives
