In support of our Clean Energy Strategy, we are expanding our capabilities to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of this once-in-a-generation project pipeline.


About the Role


We’re seeking an Engineering Construction Director to lead the technical delivery of major high-voltage infrastructure across NSW and the ACT. In this senior leadership role, you’ll shape constructability strategy, set technical direction, and ensure our projects are scoped, designed, and built to the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.


Reporting to the GM, Development – Major Projects, you’ll collaborate with engineering, delivery, and stakeholder teams to drive outcomes from early concept through to execution. Based in Sydney with hybrid work flexibility, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future energy system ensuring it is technically robust, commercially sound, and capable of meeting the demands of a rapidly evolving energy landscape.


About You


  • Degree qualification in Electrical Engineering or equivalent; postgraduate qualifications in Engineering, Business, Environment or Law are desirable
  • Extensive experience in high-voltage infrastructure development and delivery, with a high-level exposure to constructability and technical leadership
  • Deep understanding of Australian Standards, National Electricity Rules, and best practices in engineering governance
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including experience contributing to community and environmental forums
  • Demonstrated success in mentoring technical professionals and leading continuous improvement in engineering practices
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams and influence outcomes in complex, high-stakes project environments.
