About the company
Our client is part of one of the largest insurance companies globally. This multi-disciplinary agency are currently searching for a 2 x Construction Underwriters to join the team.
Based close to Melbourne CBD, this opportunity would suit someone with strong technical underwriting knowledge in construction. Key Responsibilities

• Support the team working on an Open Market construction portfolio and submissions – both Material Damage and Third-Party Liability
• Negotiate market competitive T&C outcomes for presentation to customers and brokers
• Ensure compliance with systems, processes, underwriting guidelines, governance and compliance frameworks
• Support senior team members in building and maintaining strong commercial relationships with key Carrier and Broker stakeholders
• Maintain and execute on partner plans (existing and new broker relationships) ensuring growth target are achieved.
• Prepare and oversee Open Market submissions into overseas and local carrier markets

What you'll need to succeed

• Exceptional business accumen, negotiotion skill and business development within construction (OR SIMILAR)Broking OR Underwriting
• Expert knowledge of Australian and global construction policies
• Ambitious and growth mindset
• Tier 2 accreditted
• 2+ years underwriting would be highly regarded
