About The Job

The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies and policies, following corporate guidelines, business principles and internal controls.

Key Tasks

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies and policies, following corporate guidelines, business principles and internal controls.
  • Manage supplier relationships and negotiate T&Cs where applicable.
  • Suppliers’ evaluation and selection, based on quality, cost, and delivery capabilities
  • Monitor and evaluate supplier performance.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement regulations and standards.
  • Analyse market trends to identify opportunities for cost savings.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to continuously improve procurement strategies and with business objectives.
  • Drive improvement initiatives in procurement processes to enhance efficiency and value
  • Additional ad-hoc administrative tasks as necessary.

The ideal candidate will have

  • Relevant tertiary qualification and a minimum of 3-years’ experience as a Procurement Specialist or in a similar role.
  • Sound knowledge of procurement and contract processes and frameworks
  • Good working knowledge of purchasing strategies along with compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and business application software, purchasing, and resource planning systems.
  • Outstanding organisational skills including the ability to manage and priorities multiple concurrent tasks, meet deadlines and to work independently.
