Duties And Responsibilities
- Manage, lead and develop a small team of staff and volunteers to the highest levels of performance, engagement and job satisfaction.
- Effectively manage the retail product area using visual merchandising strategies to drive sales and meet KPI’s.
- Assist in the development and implementation of the annual retail promotion plan and budget.
- Oversee and contribute to effective stock management (i.e. order, price, inventory, invoice, stocktake) across RSPCA sites.
- Managing online store customer queries and fulfilment of online orders.
- Provide high quality customer service and assist in providing accurate and reliable information and expert product advice.
- Monitor the product range and ensure it meets local needs.
- Contribute to the improvement of processes and procedures to maximise efficiency and improve profitability and performance.
- Provide advice to staff and volunteers to ensure the effective management of their retail areas to increase foot traffic and sales.
- Previous experience as an Assistant Store Manager, Team Leader or Supervisor.
- Basic knowledge of animal behaviour and handling.
- Strong merchandising and stock management experience, with experience managing an e-commerce store.
- Leadership skills, with a desire to support and mentor RSPCA Victoria staff and volunteers.
- Proven ability to maximise a retail product range to achieve sales targets (KPI’s) and ensure continued growth of retail sales.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build cooperative relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, distributors, and our major sponsors.
- Excellent organisational, time management, problem solving skills and strong attention to detail.
- The ability to work a rotating roster including public holidays and weekends.
- A current Tetanus Vaccination or willingness to obtain
- You will be required to undergo a National Police Check
- A Certificate II in customer Service or equivalent high regarded but not required.
