Assistant Manager - Monitoring & Compliance - EL1
About The Role
The Assistant Manager, Monitoring and Compliance has primary responsibility for leading the spectrum monitoring work program, working collaboratively with the section manager to ensure the program meets its business objectives. Leading a small team of technical officers, the Assistant Manager is responsible for several work streams that ensure the effective management and operation of the remote monitoring capability. These include engaging with the Property and Facilities team to ensure sites and facilities are safe and fit-for-purpose, and leading collaboration with IT teams to support the secure connectivity of sites and equipment. The Assistant Manager leads the management of the whole of life cycle of equipment and assets through assessment, procurement, and disposal.

The position also plays an important role in the teams compliance and enforcement program providing leadership and guidance on the collection, interpretation and analysis of monitoring data to support potential compliance activity. Your experience and knowledge will be a key contribution to the leadership of the sections compliance programs. Working collaboratively with other senior staff and the section manager to deliver high profile compliance programs, and assist in managing the risk of spectrum interference and other harms to the Australian community. You will work to support community safeguards in relation to the supply of radiocommunications equipment and the deployment of telecommunications infrastructure.
