General Manager Sales
Hop Products Australia (HPA) is Australia’s largest hop producer; growing, processing, and packaging hops for customers around the world.
Reporting to and working closely with our CEO, your role will be to develop a strategic fit with the customer regarding hop supply and hop-related technical support in the brewery.
This is a full-time position and can be based at our Head Office in Hobart, or work remotely from Melbourne with regular travel to Hobart.
About the role
HPA is seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager Sales to spearhead our global sales strategy and drive revenue growth across Australia, New Zealand, and select international markets. This pivotal role will lead our sales, business development, customer service and supply chain teams to achieve business objectives while fostering long-term client relationships. As a key member of the Leadership Team, you will collaborate closely with the CEO, Marketing, and other stakeholders to align sales strategies with company goals.
Key Responsibilities
You will hold a tertiary qualification in Marketing, Business, or a related field, and bring with you a proven background in senior sales leadership. Your experience will include a strong track record in global product sales and distribution, positioning you to lead with insight and confidence in international markets. Ideally, you will have deep expertise in B2B Sales, with knowledge of the agribusiness or brewing industries considered highly advantageous.
As a leader, you will possess outstanding negotiation and communication skills, with a talent for motivating teams and building strong relationships across stakeholders. You are proficient in the use of CRM systems, data analytics, and sales forecasting tools, and bring a disciplined approach to managing budgets and tracking performance. Your strategic mindset enables you to translate vision into actionable plans, delivering results that align with long-term business goals.
A current driver’s license and the flexibility to travel as required will support your ability to engage with clients and teams across various locations, ensuring strong connectivity with the markets you serve.
