Position Information

The NSW Department of Education provides, funds and regulates education services for NSW students from early childhood to secondary school, delivering world-class education through its public schools and providing funding support to non-government schools. We employ, develop and support teachers, leaders and other staff to deliver the best outcomes for students and to advance the wellbeing of Aboriginal people.

About the Role

Technology Support Officers work within the school providing support for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) systems to ensure smooth day to day operation. Technology Support Officers provide support to teachers and students with technology related issues and ensure that ICT services are operating at agreed levels by working collaboratively with other ICT staff.

Conditions

This is an ACIP (Above Centrally Identified Position) permanent non-teaching position established through school funds. The successful candidate’s continued appointment to this position will be subject to the continuity of this funding, the ongoing requirement for the role and the educational needs of the school. Should the funding or the requirement for the position cease, the officer will receive priority consideration for placement at an alternative location. When accepting the position, the successful applicant will be indicating their acceptance of the terms and conditions attached to this appointment.

Ashcroft High School [AHS] is located in South-Western Sydney and has an enrolment of approximately 700 including 70% LBOTE and 15% students of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander background. The school receives equity funding to assist economic and social disadvantage. The school provides a range of innovative integrated structures to effectively support students' comprehensive development within a school community context.
