Internal Recruitment Consultant

  • Monday to Friday - Flexible start times
  • Location – Bibra Lake, WA

We’re working with a long-standing client in the engineering services space who’s on the lookout for a Recruitment Consultant to join their People & Culture team.

This is a hands-on internal recruitment role that suits someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, especially if you're comfortable recruiting for blue-collar roles like mechanical fitters and electricians, as well as the occasional white-collar position.

You’ll play a key part in supporting regular shutdown projects (twice a month) with some of the biggest names in the mining sector. It’s a great fit for someone who’s organised, proactive, and wants to help shape recruitment processes as the business continues to grow.

A Bit About the Company

Our client is a family-owned business that’s built a solid reputation across sectors like Mining, Oil & Gas, Infrastructure, Marine, Defence, and Power Generation. They’re down-to-earth, people-focused, and genuinely care about their team. The culture is friendly, collaborative, and built on trust, and they’re actively working to build a more diverse workforce.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Running end-to-end recruitment for blue- and white-collar roles – mostly contractor roles for shutdowns, plus some permanent positions
  • Working closely with the internal team (you’ll report to the People & Culture Manager) to understand workforce needs and find the right people
  • Building and maintaining a strong pipeline of skilled candidates
  • Helping to implement a new recruitment system (they’re moving to JobAdder)
  • Making sure all compliance steps are ticked off – pre-employment medicals, VEVO checks, police clearances, etc.
  • Supporting reporting and tracking of recruitment activity
  • Being part of a team that’s making real improvements to how recruitment is done across the business

About You

  • You’ve got at least 3 years of recruitment experience, ideally in the mining, resources, or heavy industries sector
  • You’re experienced with blue-collar recruitment, especially for site-based or shutdown work
  • You understand the nuts and bolts of getting people site-ready – medicals, compliance, onboarding, etc.
  • You’re comfortable managing multiple priorities and have great attention to detail
  • You’re process-driven, love building systems, and aren’t afraid of a challenge
  • You know how to work with different stakeholders, adapt to changing needs, and stay focused under pressure
  • You’re curious, collaborative, and always looking for ways to do things better

What’s In It for You

  • WFH 1 day per week after probation (6 months)
  • A workplace with casual Fridays, team BBQs, and social events
  • Discounted gym membership
  • Salary sacrifice / novated leasing options
  • Long-term career opportunities – including future growth into HR and People & Culture projects
