ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Mining Skills Australia (MSA) is looking for an experienced, full-time Sales and Business Development Coordinator to work closely with the Senior Management Team to service our diverse client base. MSA is a progressive and innovative training and resource development company based in Brisbane with a dynamic work environment and team, and the opportunity to expand your current knowledge base and customer development skills.

This role will be responsible for the delivery of exceptional customer service to our internal and external customers, while supporting the Managing Directors in developing business relationships.


WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • 2-3 years of experience in a client relationship or business development role, demonstrating effective customer and client contact, liaison and networking skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn and adapt
  • Outstanding time-management, with the ability to work calmly under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work both autonomously and within a team, while also being receptive to feedback
  • Intermediate level of Microsoft Office including Outlook and Teams
  • Australian resident with “right to work” permit.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work collaboratively with the Managing Directors to service clients and develop proposals.
  • Contact clients regularly through both phone and email.
  • Build genuine relationships with clients, understanding their business needs.
  • Resolve client queries and issues.
  • Assist with client meetings, roadshows, exhibitions and other engagement activities.
  • Report on activities to Senior Management Team.
  • Coordinate end-to-end project activities for some training initiatives, including scheduling, resource allocation, and communication.
  • Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure alignment on project objectives.
  • Assist in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in various industry sectors.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor offerings, and potential client needs.
  • Support the development and execution of business development strategies and campaigns.
  • Coordinate and track sales leads, proposals, and client communications using digital tools.
  • Prepare presentations, proposals, and marketing materials tailored to client needs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., training delivery, instructional design, marketing) to align offerings with market demand.
  • Maintain and update client databases, sales reports, and performance metrics.
  • Assist in organising promotional events, webinars, and client meetings.
