About The Role
As a Credit Officer, reporting to the Credit Manager – Interiors East, this role is crucial in ensuring timely payments, resolving account issues, and maintaining customer and internal relationships to support the business's financial goals.
In This Role You Will
- Manage and collect payments on accounts within agreed trading terms.
- Collaborate with Sales and Account Managers to resolve arrears and customer disputes.
- Recommend credit limit reviews and support smaller credit increases for existing customers.
- Release blocked deliveries where appropriate to ensure continued sales.
- Provide documentation such as account reconciliations, invoices, and statements.
- Keep customer master data up to date and document all interactions in SAP.
- Contribute to credit and regional management meetings with insights and updates.
- Partner with Customer Service and Sales to streamline communication and resolve issues efficiently.
- Proven experience in a Credit collections experience, or strong customer service experience.
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills – you'll build relationships across internal teams and with external customers.
- Ability to analyse account risks and make informed credit recommendations.
- Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems.
- A proactive, collaborative mindset and strong attention to detail.
- Preferred: AICM membership and tertiary qualifications in Business, Finance, or a related field.
