About the role
Our IT Infrastructure team is currently looking for an experienced Senior Technical Delivery Lead to provide technical oversight, drive innovation, and lead a small team within our Infrastructure Systems group.
In this role, you will be responsible for mentoring and guiding team members to ensure the effective deployment, lifecycle management, and support of infrastructure, backup, and recovery systems. You will contribute to the design and implementation of infrastructure solutions, develop robust processes to optimise services, and foster a culture of continuous learning by staying up to date with the latest advancements in collaboration technologies.
Role Responsibilities
- Collaborate with project teams to plan, design, and implement solutions across on-premises infrastructure.
- Proactively monitor and operate platform infrastructure solutions to ensure high availability and performance.
- Develop, document, and maintain technical resources and best practices for technology delivery and operations.
- Perform system capacity planning, forecasting, and resource allocation to optimise efficiency.
- Ensure high availability and disaster recovery capabilities are maintained and tested.
- Identify, assess, and share risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Implement and maintain automation and orchestration tools to improve Infrastructure efficiency.
- Enhance Infrastructure-as-code practices to streamline deployments and configuration management.
- Define and enhance processes and ways of working. Influence and integrate with broader organisational changes.
- Provide technical mentorship and coaching to engineers and cross-functional teams.
- Manage relationships among internal teams, vendors, and partners to optimise service delivery
About You
- Computer Engineer Degree or equivalent
- Well-developed and thorough knowledge of VMWare, Hyper-V and enterprise storage solutions.
- Good working knowledge of backup and recovery platforms, including Commvault.
- Solid leadership and mentoring/coaching skills in effectively leading and overseeing a team.
- Highly skilled in specialisation related to the position and type of assigned work
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to make major decisions
- Demonstrated ability to apply critical thinking and problem solving.
- Experienced in working in a dynamic and continually changing environment.
- Experience leading IT engineering teams in large organisations.
