We are seeking a skilled Contract/Procurement Specialist to join a pivotal Defence Acquisition program.
The role requires expertise in vendor management, strategic sourcing, and contract negotiation to support the delivery of critical Defence capabilities.
This is an initial 3-6 month contract commencing in June. While the client's office is located in Melbourne, candidates based in South Australia may also be considered.

The role requires expertise in vendor management, strategic sourcing, and contract negotiation to support the delivery of critical Defence capabilities.
This is an initial 3-6 month contract commencing in June. While the client's office is located in Melbourne, candidates based in South Australia may also be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end procurement activities, including managing evaluations and conducting supplier negotiations.
- Work closely with subcontractors to ensure project delivery is on time, within budget, and aligned with program objectives.
- Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions as necessary to ensure compliance and performance standards.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align procurement strategies with program objectives.
- Support the preparation of procurement documentation, including statements of work, tender evaluation plans, and contract terms.
- Proven experience in procurement within the Defence sector, ideally below the line.
- Strong vendor management skills with a track record of successful negotiations.
- Ability to navigate complex procurement processes.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated experience supporting large-scale infrastructure/construction programs.
- NV1 security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
