About The Role
We have an excciting leadership opportunity in our Group Finance Division supporting our Tresury Middle Office
The Manager leads a 1LOD team of analysts responsible for management and regulatory reporting of BOQ’s liquidity and interest rate risk in the banking book (IRRBB) exposures. The team also owns the market risk system (QRM), including model configuration and documentation, and is responsible for the Asset & Liability Committee (ALCO) secretarial duties.
Ths role will beresponsible for developing reporting in line with policy and regulations, and ensuring all reporting is accurate. As well coaching and mentoring across all members of the team, providing expert guidance and owning the team output.
A couple of must have for this role will be AP210 and preferably APS117.
About You
A Bachelor degree in Engineering, Finance, Mathematics, or Economics is required for this role. Additionally, a post-graduate degree in a technical subject matter, such as CFA or FRM, is desirable. The candidate should have expertise in banking and finance, as well as financial markets and a couple of must have for this role will be AP210 and preferably APS117.
The role demands strong spreadsheet skills, including competent macro and SQL writing abilities. The candidate should also possess strong system development, configuration, and documentation skills, ideally with experience in QRM. Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with a strong attention to detail to proactively check the output of the area to ensure accuracy.
The ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders is crucial. The candidate should have strong writing skills, including the ability to draft policy, management reports, and documentation. A strong sense of ownership of the output from areas of responsibility is expected, along with strong product knowledge.
Experience with Value at Risk and scenario analysis is required. The candidate should have a strong understanding of APRA requirements related to market risk and a sound understanding of key business drivers and key success factors in business to be able to interpret P&L based on risk factors. Finally, the ability to train and develop a team is essential for this role.
