Uber is on the lookout for a tech savvy individual and problem-solving enthusiast to become a part of our ridesharing Marketplace team. As a contractor in the Marketplace team, you will support key projects across Reliability and Experience workstreams. This means working closely with our local teams to build strategies and implement new global initiatives for the ANZ region. This role is ideal for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment at a leading tech company!


Role: Marketplace Analyst

Location: Sydney

Start date: ASAP

Hours: Mon-Fri, 9am - 5pm

Rate: $37.66p/h plus super


What You’ll Do:

  • Support with day-to-day operational activities related to growing the ANZ Mobility business
  • Assist with build, set up and execution of manual processes, daily reconciliation of data, and any troubleshooting
  • Own reporting of critical metrics for the team
  • Own moderate/high complexity processes largely independently
  • Monitor business performance considering local nuances, behaviours and trends
  • Analyse data to draw key insights and provide recommendations for improvement that will drive growth
  • Seek continuous improvement opportunities to optimise processes for quality of outputs
  • Engage with stakeholders to facilitate seamless operations
  • Document new and existing business processes owned by the team


What You’ll Need:

  • University degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Economics, Statistics, Finance, Business/Commerce, Social Science, IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience applying analysis to solve business problems (inc. university coursework)
  • Proficient with google sheets and / or excel
  • Exposure to SQL, business intelligence tools and/or programming languages
  • Attention to detail
  • Problem solving mindset and affinity for continuous improvement
  • The ability to challenge and question existing processes proactively and suggest well researched solutions
  • Hands-on and proactiveness
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills (experience engaging with stakeholders preferred)
