About the opportunity
We're seeking a Social Performance Data Analyst and Reporting Advisor to lead the delivery of Inland Rail's Social Performance and ESG reporting. You'll ensure reports are timely, accurate, and aligned with commitments and stakeholder expectations. Using contractor-supplied data, you'll create reports and infographics for the Executive, Board, Shareholders, and other stakeholders. You'll also manage the Program Regulatory Reporting system to support compliance and transparency.
Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Support to the Sustainability Manager, Social Performance Manager and Head of ESG in delivery of consistent and effective social performance and ESG reporting, that align with Inland Rail policy and procedures.
- Responsible for Social Performance and ESG data capture from Inland Rail Projects, by contributing to technical data advice in the fields of social performance, workforce management, local industry participation, housing as well as community health and wellbeing.
- Managing contractor data collection including management of data within excel spreadsheets and assisting Contractors with completion to meet minimum accuracy and validation requirements.
- Support development and ongoing management of reporting dashboards and systems including the excel based data collection templates and web-based data management and reporting platform.
- Analyse data collected from contractors to determine progress towards performance targets and report that progress in documents and infographics.
- Work with the social performance team, wider HSES team and communications team to produce and publicise monthly and quarterly ESG and social performance snapshots.
- Assist with the development of briefing packs, Board documents and ESG reporting advice for senior management and external stakeholders.
About You
To be successful in this role, strong communication and collaboration skills are essential for translating complex data into clear insights for diverse stakeholders. Attention to detail, critical thinking, and ethical judgment ensure accuracy and integrity in reporting. The role also demands adaptability, time management, and problem-solving abilities to navigate shifting priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes under tight deadlines.
Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Proven ability to manage numerical data collection and analysis in excel based spreadsheets and database applications.
- Proven ability to work with multiple stakeholders across multidisciplinary teams to achieve coordinated and coherent outcomes.
- Literacy with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and customised software packages.
- Sound research, analysis and investigation skills. Able to deliver effective investigation outcomes and reports within specified timeframes.
- Ability to work autonomously.
- Experience in reporting for complex resource and or infrastructure projects. .
Desirable Selection Criteria
- Understanding of key concept social performance and ESG concepts, principles and approaches.
- Experience designing, coordinating/managing and delivering social improvement projects and social performance initiatives that have delivered measurable results.
