IT Project and Demand Manager


  • Fixed term full-time opportunity through till mid 2027
  • Adelaide location – Keswick office location

The opportunity

Silverchain are seeking an experienced IT Project and Demand Manager to join the Digital Services team on a fixed term full time basis through till mid-2027.

The IT Project and Demand Manager will be responsible for the successful delivery of internal IT initiatives, supporting ICT components within scope of broader Silverchain projects and managing the demand forecasting and optimisation of resources across operational IT.


Key responsibilities

The major accountabilities of this position are:

  • Lead, manage and support IT projects, from initiation to closure. Ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope and within budget.
  • Collaborate with Business units to define IT demand, create forecasts, and develop strategies to meet the needs of the organisation.
  • Work with the IT leadership team to optimise resource allocation by matching available IT resources with the demands of projects and operational tasks.
  • Work closely with cross functional teams, including IT, Business units and senior management to align demand with strategic objectives.
  • Maintain an overview of all IT projects and their interdependencies to ensure projects collectively support Silverchain’s goals.
  • Identify potential project and demand risks, develop mitigation strategies and recommend actions to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Takes responsibility to ensure that effective project monitoring and control processes, change control, risk management and quality processes are employed and maintained.
  • Define and track KPI’s to measure the effectiveness of project and demand management.
  • Reviews new business proposals and provides advice on demand issues.


About you

To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate the following skills:

  • Project Management certification e.g. PMP, Prince2, Agile.
  • Formal ITIL v4 certification.
  • Proven experience in IT project management, demand management, and resource optimization.
  • 5+ years of experience in information systems operations environment.
  • A strong understanding of IT processes, tools, and methodologies.
  • Demonstrated effective leadership skills.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Azure DevOps.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams Proven capability to successfully deliver project outcomes.
