About the role

The Capital Works Manager is responsible for the delivery of the Airport Facilities Capex plan in line with BAC policies and through the implementation of the Airport Facilities Asset Management Plans, to ensure maximum efficiency and optimal use of capital. The role is also responsible for the overall Asset Handover Process for new Assets to be maintained by the Facilities Department.

Some key focus areas include:

• Manage the delivery of the allocated projects within the requirements of the BAC Business Plan through the development and implementation of project plans as outlined in the Project Management System (PMS).
• Oversee the review of Airport Facilities Asset Management plans including short and long term capital budgets, preventative and corrective maintenance improvements and asset improvement plans.
• Oversee the Asset Handover Process to ensure appropriate project close-out procedures are followed including defects management, contractor performance assessment and reporting.

About you

You like to be part of a happy, high performing team and take pride in making a difference through doing great work.

Leading a small team, you will be tertiary qualified, with project management experience and ideally exposure to facilities maintenance programs, primarily involving electrical and mechanical assets.

Your strong attention to detail, paired with effective written communication skills, will ensure that all aspects of your work are to a high standard and well organised.
