Transdev Queensland is currently looking for a full-time Apprentice Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanic to join our Asset Maintenance team at our depot located in Capalaba. In this role you will be learning to support vehicle inspections, mechanical diagnosis, preventive maintenance, service, and repairs to Transdev Queensland’s fleet of vehicles (diesel and electric).

Collaborating daily with the Asset Maintenance team, you will develop skills that align to achieving your qualification in the Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology. In time, you will also have the opportunity to be upskilled in the Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology.

What you bring:

  • Trade work experience is advantageous, but not essential
  • An enthusiasm to learn and receive feedback
  • A strong focus on safety
  • Good attention to detail and the ability to work under instruction
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Computer literate in the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Full Australian working rights (an Australian citizen or permanent resident)
  • Availability to work a rotating roster including Saturday morning
