As such we are in the market for an experienced Network Engineer Specialist with expertise in Radio Frequency.


As a Network Engineer Specialist, you will analyse, design, develop, and deploy expansions for our client's P25 radio systems, ensuring compatibility with other technologies. Your primary focus will be on the P25 land mobile radio and its customers. Responsibilities include identifying customer needs, providing solutions, onboarding new customers, resolving interference issues, and consulting on network coverage deployment.


  • Location: Must be based in BRISBANE, QLD
  • Full Australian Driver's licence
  • Unrestricted working rights in Australia and no visa restrictions (to work in Metro and Regional areas of Victoria).


Essential skills and experience required include:


  • Tertiary level degree in Electronics & Communications Engineering or related course
  • Knowledge/experience of Harris/Motorola/Tait Mobile, Portable and fixed Radio testing - MUST HAVE
  • Knowledge/experience of coverage prediction tool like Mentum Planet /Atoll.
  • Understanding of In-building Coverage solution/Distributed Antenna system.
  • Design experience of P25 network using Motorola P25 (GTR8000) & Tait (TB9400) Base stations.
  • Strong experience in Two-way radio and good understanding of various technologies of providing land mobile two-way radio communications, conventional and trunking architectures such as P25
  • Experience in RF antenna and combining and multicoupling with understanding of various techniques required for two-way radio transmitter combining and receiver multicoupling, minimising interference, intermodulation and noise sources and their effect on land mobile communications
  • Sound knowledge of IP networks as they pertain to two-way radio systems, backhaul, redundancy and availability
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written) with the ability to influence and drive change at all stakeholder levels
  • Ability to work independently and a high attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to act with urgency and responsiveness to issues and risks
