About The Role

The Digital Planning and Transformation team has an exciting, permanent opportunity for an ICT Asset Officer (AS5), where you will play a key role in managing and optimizing our telecommunications services.

This position focuses on ensuring the efficient utilization of mobility services and fixed telephony assets, driving vendor governance, and supporting service delivery excellence.

You will work closely with internal teams and external service providers to analyse service consumption, identify cost optimization opportunities, and ensure service contracts are delivered to agreed standards.

This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys working with data, has a strong grasp of telecommunications services, and thrives in a governance and assurance environment.

What We’re Looking For

  • Solid knowledge of telecommunications services for customer support, coaching, guidance and advice to Queensland Rail staff, including mobility and fixed telephony services.
  • Administer the procurement and support of telecommunications services with Supplier for Queensland Rail, including ICT catalogues and processes.
  • Manage and coordinate a range of telecommunications related special projects under minor works or standard solutions.
  • Data analysis with the ability to translate service consumption data into actionable insights that improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Strong understanding of vendor management, contract compliance, and SLAs.
  • A proactive and solutions focused person who thrives in environments where they can analyse service usage, optimize telecommunications assets, and ensure vendors are delivering to high standards.
  • A collaborative mindset - enjoys working across teams and vendors, ensuring service delivery runs smoothly, contracts are honoured, and processes are optimized.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Remuneration & Employment Type

This is a permanent, fulltime position, based in Brisbane CBD with a starting base salary of $117,750 plus 12.75% superannuation and hybrid work options to support the balance between work and personal commitments.
