What We Are Looking For

We're looking for a strategic thinker to shape the future of our water and sewerage services. In this role, you'll develop and implement asset operations and maintenance strategies that align with business goals and deliver long-term value.

You’ll drive innovation in asset management practices, contribute to system improvements, and support the development of key strategic plans, including optimising asset lifecycle costs, and mitigating operational risks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation and ongoing improvement of the Asset Management Framework and System.
  • Help develop strategic asset plans and ensure alignment with organisational goals and policies.
  • Prepare maintenance, renewal, and upgrade plans for water and sewer assets.
  • Develop asset policies, strategies, and business cases to guide investment and project planning.
  • Identify and prioritise infrastructure improvements based on data, risk, and performance.
  • Support the 10-year renewal program through inspections, condition assessments, and data analysis.
  • Prepare reports, recommendations, and updates for management and advisory committees.
  • Coordinate and present asset data, reports, and insights using tools such as SCADA and Telemetry.

To Be Successful, You’ll Need Demonstrated Experience In

  • Asset management within a utility/heavy industry
  • Development and utilisation of an Asset Management System
  • Maintenance and renewal management
  • Resolving complex asset reliability issues
  • Providing advice/reports to management
  • Data collection and reporting role at a supervisory level ideally gained with the utility sector
  • The use and application of MS Office Suite, GIS, Maintenance Management Systems & telemetry (SCADA or equivalent)
  • Strong communication skills; written, interpersonal, and verbal


Qualifications & Licences

  • Tertiary qualification (AQF Level 7 or above) in Engineering/Asset Management or relevant asset management qualification
  • Current QLD Class C Driver's Licence
