Service Business Manager - West

Reporting into the Regional Manager, the new Service Business Manager - West (“SBM”) will be based at our Perth office. The SBM is to play a crucial role in managing, maintaining, and further developing business interests and service operations of the Safety West division (WA, NT, and SA). They will role model effective team leadership that inspires and ensures ongoing high-quality outcomes for customers. Key responsibilities include:
- Lead and drive a positive, high-performing Safety Service team in WA, NT, and SA;
- Identify, develop, and optimise business opportunities in partnership with the Sales team;
- Guide and enable sales activities of local team members to drive ongoing business expansion;
- Conduct regular business and contract reviews with customers;
- Maintain and accurate and up to date CRM Install Base and utilise CRM data to enhance profitability;
- Effective and efficient management of financial, physical, and employee resources;
- Represent, lead, and report on operations and business interests within the region;
- Apply a compliance focused mindset across all operations, and;
- Always ensure a safety-first approach.
The ideal candidate will be equipped with the following attributes:
- Diploma or Certificate in Business Management;
- Diploma or Certificate in Engineering (Mechanical / Electronic), or a related field;
- 4+ years’ experience in a similar technical service team leadership role or equivalent;
- Well versed with managing operations across multiple States/Territories;
- Commercial acumen, customer focus, and knowledge of pricing, quoting, and discounting;
- Ability to develop detailed knowledge of Draeger Safety products, services, and their application;
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and CRM applications;
- Adaptability and readiness to handle multiple, changing priorities in a fast-paced environment;
- Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn;
- Exemplary understanding of compliance rules, with a proactive mindset and the ability to act as a role model in upholding and promoting compliance standards;
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, influencing, negotiating, facilitation, interpersonal, and written / verbal communication skills, and;
- Willingness to travel interstate on a regular basis.
