About The Role

Stowe Australia is Australia’s leading privately owned Electrical and Communications Contractor operating in the commercial, infrastructure and industrial market sectors throughout Australia.

We are seeking a National HSEQ Manager who is passionate and self-motivated to join our dynamic and ever-growing business to ensure the implementation and continuous improvement of the company’s health, safety, quality and environmental framework and strategies. You will play a key role in identifying risks, implementing safety protocols and maintaining a safe working environment in compliance with relevant legislation.

As an integral part of Stowe Australia’s management team, you will provide HSEQ leadership, mentor and support the company’s HSEQ professionals and teams, providing guides, advice and support to the Branch Management and Executive Management Team.

The successful candidate will need to be able to travel to Stowe Branch Offices and site locations proactively and or on an as needed basis with the role being able to be based in any of the Stowe Offices.

As The National HSEQ Manager, You Will

  • Manage and provide direct support on all aspects of Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Operations across the company to support the company and its employees.
  • Ensuring that the company’s HSEQ systems, platforms, policies and procedures are being implemented and in accordance with relevant safety legislation.
  • Provide specialist HSEQ advice to the company’s HSEQ professionals, managers and operational teams.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship and support to the company’s HSEQ professionals.
  • Provide operational HSEQ guidance, diligence and consistency to management and the HSEQ professionals to drive a positive culture of best practice.
  • Work collaboratively with the National HSEQ Systems & Compliance Manager and ensure that Stowe adopts robust due diligence and risk management processes and understands and meets its regulatory and legal obligations.
  • When called upon, liaise with client teams, regulators and legal representatives.
  • Maintaining a positive outcome driven relationship with key team members including but not limited to Account / Project Management and Client representatives.

Role Specific Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health and Safety.
  • Extensive experience in HSEQ leadership, ideally in electrical and communications contracting.
  • Strong understanding of hazard identification, risk management, and compliance frameworks.
  • Proven ability to implement and manage HSEQ systems and drive cultural change.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant digital platforms.
  • Excellent communication skills and experience engaging with executive leadership and external stakeholders.
