About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to work in the Data Standards Body (DSB) and across government to deliver high quality regulatory standards.
The DSB supports the Data Standards Chair who is responsible for making the standards that are necessary for the effective operation of Australia’s Digital ID System and the Consumer Data Right (CDR) regulatory frameworks. The DSB is part of Treasury’s Digital, Competition and Payments Division in Markets Group.

Treasury Is Looking For Highly a Motivated And Experienced Service Delivery Manager To Join Its Data Standards Body (DSB) In The Service Delivery And Program Management Unit As Director. The Director Leads The Work Of The Unit, And Would Be Expected To
- propose and establish new ways of working across the Data Standards Body drawing from a DevOps approach, continuous improvement and building transparency and collaboration, including:
- plan and facilitate internal collaboration forums
- development mechanisms for ensuring accountability and visibility of delivery activities
- assess pain points and bottlenecks in the development lifecycle.
- provide oversight of and strategic direction to support services intended to provide implementation support to regulated entities. This covers the delivery of newsletters, social media engagement, support forums, guidance, management of a support portal, and provision of development tools.
- establish methods of collating and verifying user needs and evaluation of services provided.
- provide a senior level of leadership and coordination across the Data Standards Body and the management of up to four staff members.
The candidate must:
- have an understanding of and experience in service delivery, ideally through a DevOps approach, in the context of technology development and deployment,
- demonstrate capability in creating effective change and suggesting innovative ideas for improvement,
- have strong communication skills, to convey technical and non-technical issues and solutions across technical, regulatory and policy audiences,
- demonstrate great interpersonal and mentoring skills to develop competencies and understanding amongst the broader team,
- demonstrate strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to ensure delivery plans align with strategic objectives and requirements.
- previous experience within tech development, service or program delivery,
- previous experience in assurance,
- team building and change management experience,
- a strong interest in digital regulation and standards.
