Our role is to support the Department of Veterans’ Affairs to meet the Nation’s commitment to care for our veterans and Defence service community - the men and women who have served Australia in times of war and conflict as well as peacetime As part of Bupa’s service offering, Bupa assists DVA by providing high-quality clinical advice About the role In this unique Enrolled Nurse role, you will;
  • Assist Medical Advisers by identifying and collating relevant medical evidence to support the review of claims.
  • Provide concise, accurate summaries of the medical evidence.
  • Support other tasks related to the collection and use of clinical evidence, which may include:
  • Reviewing medical evidence collection processes.
  • Drafting correspondence.
  • Maintaining accurate data and records of documents reviewed.
About you We’re looking for an Enrolled Nurse keen to move into a role without direct patient contact to work within a multidisciplinary team. The position is located at the DVA Melbourne or Canberra CBD Office Role Details – Permanent part time 3 days a week based in Melbourne DVA office Role requirements
  • Unrestricted Aphra registration with the Nursing and Midwifery board
  • Evidence of at least 2 years current clinical experience
  • Strong critical analysis skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with both clinical and non-clinical professionals.
  • Demonstrated sensitivity and judgement in dealing with client related issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively as a productive team member.
  • You must be an Australian citizen and be able to attain and maintain a baseline security clearance from the Defence security and vetting service.
