I am recruiting on behalf of a major Government department seeking an experienced Zycus Application Specialist to support a critical transformation programme focused on procurement technology enablement.
This is a client-side role, where you’ll act as the internal Zycus technical expert during the organisation’s transition from ServiceNow to Zycus. Working closely with vendors and internal stakeholders, your role will ensure the solution simplifies procurement processes, enhances staff experience, and aligns with enterprise architecture and business goals.
You’ll be responsible for supporting system configuration, integration, testing, and ensuring delivery outcomes are achieved, particularly across procurement and contract lifecycle management modules.

You’ll be responsible for supporting system configuration, integration, testing, and ensuring delivery outcomes are achieved, particularly across procurement and contract lifecycle management modules.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the internal SME on Zycus configuration and capabilities, especially across procurement and contract modules.
- Support the delivery of a Procurement Technology Enablement programme focused on business process simplification and staff experience.
- Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to ensure fit-for-purpose technical solutions.
- Drive vendor accountability by constructively challenging solution designs and delivery practices.
- Work alongside an existing ServiceNow specialist to support the system transition.
- Lead or support activities across UAT, data migration, integration and user adoption.
- Ensure solutions align with government ICT policies, service management standards, and digital architecture.
- Provide input into business process improvement initiatives enabled by digital tools.
- Proven hands-on experience with Zycus or similar procurement platforms
- Strong understanding of procurement processes and contract lifecycle management.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and influence vendor engagement, including the confidence to push back when required.
- Experience supporting or delivering business process improvement initiatives, ideally resulting in simplification via digital solutions.
- Comfortable working on large-scale ICT projects within complex environments.
- Demonstrated experience working with a range of project delivery methodologies such as Agile, Iterative and Waterfall.
- ServiceNow knowledge or exposure to procurement workflow integration is advantageous.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical solutions into business value.
