Role Overview:

HI, I'm Doug and I lead the Broadcast Solutions team; I'm looking for an Account Manager for Broadcast Replay in South APAC. If you join the team, you'll play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth by delivering industry-leading replay solutions to broadcasters, production teams, and sports organizations. You’ll lead the strategic sales efforts across the region through to completion of contracts, identifying opportunities, building strong client relationships, and showcasing how our cutting-edge replay technology enhances live production, boosts viewer engagement, and streamlines operations. Your strategic leadership will position our solutions as essential components of live sports coverage, giving clients a competitive advantage through seamless system integration and innovative technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Solid understanding of business needs and requirements - show initiative as a progressive thinker on where there could be opportunity for growth within Broadcast Replay
  • Increase sales, revenue and profitability for Broadcast Replay in South APAC
  • Analyse commercials and profitability of existing and potential opportunities
  • Maintain a strong pipeline and input and update client information, sales activities, and other relevant data in the company's CRM system.
  • Understanding of the landscape of sport in South APAC, the competitive environment and ability to work closely with Broadcast Replay leadership to strategically support in building a vision of where we want to Broadcast Replay to be
  • Lead on proposals and responses to RFPs building commercial bids and response collateral;
  • Develop a working relationship with the legal team to support on contracts, drafting and understanding legal terms, with a vision to leading contract negotiations with the support of legal team on respective deals until point of signature;
  • Support major pitches and proposals with the Broadcast Replay Head of Commercial & Operations.
  • Alongside the Broadcast Replay Head of Commercial & Operations, build significant client relationships in Broadcast Replay;
  • Work with Regional and Sports leadership across Sony’s sports businesses to identify specific opportunities within the market
  • Stay informed about industry regulations and standards related to broadcast technology, ensuring the organisation's adherence to relevant guidelines.
  • Contribution towards managing the revenue of the Broadcast Replay P/L, joining monthly Rev/Cost call and responsible for all invoicing within South APAC
  • Continually communicate with commercial, product and operations teams

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Familiarity with the sports industry, especially an understanding of the Sports Broadcast and South APAC Sports landscape.
