About the role:
-Conduct Research
Plan and carry out qualitative research methods—such as interviews, field observations, and workshops—engaging both employee and customer groups.

Interpret and analyse quantitative and behavioural data to enrich and validate qualitative insights.
-Analyse and Synthesise
Distil research findings into meaningful insights and opportunity areas, and communicate them through clear documentation, visual frameworks, and presentations.
-Functional Skills:
- Seeking Experience Insights Researcher for our key local government client. This role has been established to enhance research delivery across critical digital initiatives. At present, the Digital Strategy, Experience, and Insights portfolio lead is responsible for both strategic direction and execution of all research efforts, operating well beyond a sustainable workload. By assuming responsibility for hands-on research and analysis, this role will allow the lead to concentrate on strategic synthesis, alignment across programs, and effective stakeholder engagement.
- Design and execute qualitative research activities (e.g., interviews, field observations, workshops) involving both employee and customer groups
- Work under the direction of the Strategy, Design & Insights Lead to synthesise research findings into actionable insights, opportunity areas, and strategic narratives
- Interpret and analyse quantitative and behavioural data to enrich qualitative insights
- Assist in creating personas, journey maps, and segmentation models
- Translate research insights into clear design and strategic requirements for solution architects and delivery teams
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure insights are integrated into project delivery
- Communicate findings through well-structured reports, visual frameworks, and presentations
- Contribute to the ongoing refinement and promotion of research and experience-led methodologies within the Council

- Well-developed analytical and critical thinking skills
- Experience with UX testing is advantageous
- Familiarity with Information Architecture, including content structuring and user-centered design principles
