We are looking for an Executive Sous Chef

Full Time - Salary position: between $ 75,000 - $90,000 per annum, based on experience.

The Executive Sous Chef supports the Executive Chef in overseeing the daily operations of all kitchen outlets, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality food and service. This role is responsible for supervising kitchen staff, maintaining food safety standards, managing inventory and costs, and assisting with menu development. The Executive Sous Chef plays a key role in leading the kitchen team, upholding brand standards, and ensuring a smooth, efficient operation across multiple outlets, including fine dining, casual restaurants, events, and room service.

WHAT - Experience And Competency I Have

  • Formal qualifications in management, technical cookery tertiary qualifications Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a high-volume or multi-outlet kitchen, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.
  • Excellent knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety standards, and HACCP.
  • Experience in training kitchen staff while ensuring high standards and performance measures.
  • High level of attention to detail and a passion for food quality and innovation.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • High level of computer literacy
  • High standard of written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to build staff and client relationships with providers and the local community
  • Outstanding time-management skills
  • Strong people relations, listening, cultural awareness and negotiation skills
  • Ability to perform under pressure, fast-paced environment, taking the initiative, prioritizing, working collaboratively
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends, public holidays, and major events.
