The Strategic Communications Branch delivers a range of communication activities including social marketing activity to help Queenslanders access the health care they need and lead healthy lifestyles.
The Marketing team:
delivers statewide behaviour change campaigns that encourage, engage, and educate Queenslanders on preventative and public health issues.
coordinates approvals for marketing campaigns through the Government Advertising and Communication Committee and the Cabinet Budget Review Committee.
works with suppliers, including creative and media agencies, internal stakeholders, and program areas to ensure social marketing campaigns are evidence-based and deliver meaningful and positive behaviour change aligned to government priorities.
What you'll do
Lead, mentor and grow a team of marketing professionals to manage a program work to develop and deliver innovative marketing strategies and campaigns that enhance health outcomes for Queenslanders.
Provide specialist advice to senior departmental management on significant behaviour change marketing campaign activity.
Provide strategic oversight on the research, planning, implementation, and evaluation of social marketing campaigns across a range of health topics ensuring the application of consumer insight and behaviour change principles, value for money and alignment with Queensland Health and whole-of-Government priorities.
About you
We are searching for someone with:
Proven ability to provide effective leadership in supporting a high performing team to plan, develop, implement and evaluate marketing activity, ensuring outputs and outcomes are aligned to priorities.
High level understanding of behaviour change theory and its demonstrated successful application in a social marketing context.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to work in partnership and build influential and productive relationships across organisational and sector boundaries.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in a marketing and/or communications context, in a high-pressure environment.
