What’s the role?
Are you experienced in customer service, document management or archiving and looking for a change of pace? We’re seeking candidates with a keen eye for detail and a mature and responsible attitude, to take on a unique split role—two days as a Teller and three days as a Safe Custodian at one of the oldest banks in Australia, our iconic Westpac 341 George Street branch.
This role is perfect for someone who is happy to work as part of a small team, in an enclosed environment for long periods, but still has a passion for supporting customers.
What’s the role?
As a Teller, you’ll be the first point of contact for customers, providing a warm and welcoming experience while assisting with transactions and everyday banking needs. You’ll help customers navigate digital platforms, ensure cash handling accuracy, and connect them with specialists for tailored financial solutions.
As a Safe Custodian, you’ll be responsible for managing the security and accuracy of our safety deposit box operations. This includes monitoring cash reserves, ensuring a very high level of compliance with risk and security procedures, maintaining detailed records, and handling movements efficiently.

What do I need?
- Prior experience in customer service, archiving, banking or a similar role
- Strong attention to detail, particularly in cash handling and security procedures.
- Ability to work independently and remain focused for extended periods.
- A mature, reliable work ethic with a commitment to professionalism.
- Adaptability and willingness to learn new processes and technologies.
- The ability to work underground in an enclosed space
