About The Role

We are seeking a strategic and hands-on marketing professional to lead the design, implementation, and optimisation of customer journeys and digital campaigns tailored to student audiences.

This role will be central to enhancing student engagement across the lifecycle, leveraging HubSpot and other digital tools to deliver personalised, data-driven marketing experiences.

This role will be based at our Sydney campus.

Key Responsibilities

Customer journey design & optimisation

  • Develop and continuously refine end-to-end customer journeys within HubSpot, ensuring seamless engagement across all lifecycle stages (from enquiry to enrolment and beyond).
  • Identify opportunities for improvement through data analysis and customer insights.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align customer experience strategies with broader marketing and recruitment goals.

Marketing automation & campaign execution

  • Build and manage automated nurture funnels, email marketing campaigns, and trigger-based communications tailored to both domestic and international student audiences.
  • Use behavioural data and CRM insights to personalise messaging and timing, increasing relevance and conversion.
  • Segment and maintain audience lists within HubSpot to ensure timely, targeted communications aligned with student lifecycle needs.

Marketing

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of EDU’s (and its subsidiaries) strategic international student marketing and recruitment plan
  • Evaluate and report on international market opportunities for EDU’s product portfolio
  • Be the expert for the state and regional international student market, ensuring EDU maximises opportunities for revenue growth in the segment

Performance analysis & optimisation

  • Monitor, analyse, and report on the performance of customer journeys, campaigns, email marketing, and content engagement.
  • Use tools such as HubSpot, Google Analytics, and social media insights to derive actionable insights that inform continuous improvement.
  • Lead A/B testing initiatives to optimise messaging, design, and user experience across key channels.

Digital advertising & creative optimisation

  • Work closely with external digital agencies to review and refine ad creatives, ensuring alignment with brand, messaging, and target audience behaviours.
  • Provide audience insights and performance feedback to guide campaign optimisation.

Website management & SEO

  • Own website content management including content updates, stakeholder requests, and overall user experience enhancements.
  • Collaborate with external SEO specialists and agencies to implement best practices and support the execution of SEO strategies that improve organic traffic and engagement.

Education, Experience, And Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Business, or a related field.
  • A postgraduate qualification in digital marketing, UX, or data analytics is desirable but not essential.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a digital marketing, CRM, or marketing automation role (experience in the education sector is highly desirable).
  • Proficiency in HubSpot (or a similar marketing automation platform), including email workflows, CRM segmentation, and reporting.
  • Demonstrated success in managing and optimising email marketing and automated workflows for engagement and conversion
  • Strong understanding of Google Analytics, SEO, and website CMS platforms (WordPress).
  • Familiarity with social media analytics tools (Meta Business Suite, LinkedIn Campaign Manager).
  • Experience conducting A/B testing and optimising digital content and journeys.
  • Experience working in a data-driven environment, using customer insights to inform content, campaign, and UX decisions.
  • Experience in website content management, campaign reporting, and SEO optimisation.
