Primary Objective: Develops and uses expert nursing skills in the assessment, diagnosis and management of a person’s health needs within relevant clinical specialty area. Develops and provides senior leadership and reference point for best practice in matters of clinical importance across a specialist client population. If an endorsed nurse practitioner applies and meets the N6 selection criteria, they will be appointed as a nurse practitioner N6. If no suitable endorsed nurse practitioners apply, then a registered nurse who meets the selection criteria for the nurse practitioner candidate N5 position will be selected on merit and appointed as a nurse practitioner candidate N5 on a fixed term contract.
