The Role
As the IT Application Support Specialist at Honey Birdette, you’ll play a vital role in keeping the technology behind our retail operations running smoothly. From our boutiques to our support office, our teams rely on stable, efficient systems, and you’ll be the person they turn to when things need fixing, improving, or evolving.
This role is more than just support; it’s about being hands-on with the applications that drive our business in partnership with the broader IT team. You’ll manage incidents, action service requests, and work on enhancements using .NET, ASP.NET, C#, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL. Whether it’s resolving day-to-day issues or contributing to system improvements and automation, your work will directly impact how we operate and grow.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on support and continuous enhancements for enterprise-level applications built on .NET, ASP.NET, and C#, with databases including SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
- Partner closely with cross-functional teams and product owners to translate business requirements into robust technical designs and solutions.
- Manage and resolve day-to-day support tickets, including service requests and incident escalations, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Participate in scheduled server patching, system maintenance, and implementation activities to maintain optimal system performance.
- Balance priorities across support tasks, minor application enhancements, and project work with effective time management.
- Uphold coding best practices with a strong focus on code quality, unit testing, and smooth deployment processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience) and data analysis
- Experience developing and maintaining web applications using .NET 4.8, C#, and ASP.NET, with a focus on API development (WCF web services and implementation)
- Proficient in PowerShell scripting for automating deployments and system monitoring
- Familiarity with Windows Server administration, including managing services, scheduled tasks, IIS, and SSL certificate management
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Customer-focused approach with a proactive mindset and commitment to continuous improvement
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in .NET development
- Strong proficiency in C# and ASP.NET Core
- Extensive experience with SQL Server and PostgreSQL, including performance tuning
