About the Client

Our client is undertaking a large-scale transformation program to modernise business capabilities and replace core ICT systems with a citizen-centric, agile technology platform. The Program will transform the departments delivery of services and ensure ongoing integrity of the current systems. They have continuing to work on excisting packages with a focus on business process re-engineering, data management, legislative compliance and replacing aging systems.

About the role

We are seeking a Patching Co-ordinator to assist with improving the departments security posture, working closely with the Cyber Security section to implement OS, application, and system patching across the department ICT environment.

The successful applicant will assist the team lead in managing matters relating to the assurance control, review and security patching of department systems and maintaining compliance protocols withi each systems to mandated security controls.

The candidate must hold an active Baseline security clearance prior to commencement.

Key duties and responsibilities

This role will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Working as part of a small team to manage the assurance and integrity of internal systems
  • Implementing cyber security related patches for AEC applications and operating systems based on urgency and applicability
  • Liaising with Cyber Security sector and Third-Party Vendors for the implementation of required patches
  • Contributing to the documentation of the department systems
  • Participating and coordinating regular scanning and testing of their ICT environment.
  • Performing additional duties or assume responsibility of functions as directed from time to time.
